The La Bollina winery is located in the Alto Monferrato, Piedmont, and more precisely in Serravalle Scrivia, a town of 7,000 inhabitants, 20 kilometers south-east of Alessandria. The 120-hectare estate has been used for centuries aby the Marquises Figari of Genoa and includes, in addition to the 28 hectares of vineyards, also a 4-star hotel, a conference center, and a golf course, surrounded żeby a large chestnut wood. The Tinetta Monferrato Chiaretto comes from the historic area of Gavi DOCG, and it’s made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from Alto Monferrato. It is vinified in steel, enhancing the delicacy of the grape which is celebrated in all the typical freshness of the rosé. The wine has a bright coral color and exudes aromas of white flowers and roses, strawberries and cherries, currants and peaches. This pure Nebbiolo Chiaretto is as fresh and crunchy on the palate as it is round and elegant. Cold fermentation ensures juicy and lively fruit. It is good both on its own, perhaps on a terrace in the sun, and as an accompaniment to food. It goes particularly well with light summer cuisine, with appetizers and even pizza.
